How to make a moving platform in R3

0:53 · 2026-10-29

In the R3 editor: add a RigidBody Kinematic Position, the body for things your code moves, and a Collider Cuboid, and set both their Meshes to the lift. Add a Code component with two lines in update that move the lift up and down, and press Save. Start Physics, then Code: the lift carries everything on it cleanly. Narration: AI voice.

0:02 Open the menu, then Create, and search for kinematic.

0:06 Add a RigidBody Kinematic Position, for things your code moves. Then a Collider Cuboid.

0:13 Open Rigid Bodies, and the new body. Set its Mesh to the lift.

0:18 Then open Colliders, and the new collider. Set its Mesh to the lift too.

0:24 Now add a Code component, from Create.

0:30 Open the new script, press Edit Code, and in update, move the lift up and down.

0:38 Press Save, and close the editor.

0:41 Hide the panel, start Physics, then Code. The lift carries everything cleanly.
